How to Start a Shopify Store in Pakistan (2026)

By Abeer Nasir · 2026-07-19

Shopify works in Pakistan, and more local brands are going online every month. Here's a practical path from zero to a store that can actually sell — without the fluff.

1. Pick a narrow niche

"Everything store" fails. Start with one product type you understand — perfume, gym wear, skincare. Narrow means sharper ads and clearer messaging. A perfume D2C brand we worked with grew because the whole store spoke to one buyer.

2. Set up the store

  • Sign up on Shopify, pick a clean theme, keep it fast on mobile.
  • Write product titles and descriptions like a human, not a robot.
  • One clear CTA per page — "Add to cart".

3. Payments that work in Pakistan

Offer JazzCash, EasyPaisa and bank cards where possible, plus Cash on Delivery (COD) since many local buyers trust it. COD brings sales but also returns — price that in.

4. Shipping

Use a courier that covers your target cities, show delivery time upfront, and keep the checkout honest about total cost including shipping.

5. Mistakes that kill new stores

  • Slow mobile page — test on a real phone.
  • Messy checkout with too many fields.
  • Running ads before the store converts.
  • No follow-up on abandoned carts.

6. Get traffic

Start with Meta Ads to create demand, fix the store's conversion first, then scale. For one brand, a small Meta Ads test returned measured sales once the page and creative were right.
